Roadrunner Report

Roady the Roadrunner
The Department of Information Technolgy is grateful for the energy our employees bring everyday.
Where are our Roadrunners?
Each roadrunner embodies the dedication and progress driving DoIT’s Mission.
Hard work, collaboration, trust and teamwork are the building blocks that make an impact at DoIT. Each milestone achieved is a reflection of the collective passion and purpose driving DoIT forward, with employees at the heart of it all.
“Connecting with people in our agency and across the state is something I enjoy.”
“I get to work with numbers all day! And ensuring accurate information is share is important to me.”
“I am proud to work with a team that is diverse, talented, and dedicated.”

Roadrunner Award 2025
DoIT is incredibly fortunate to have teammates who show up for each other every day.
Today, we celebrate as Melody Sandoval passes along Craig the Roadrunner to Luis Terrazas! We’re lucky to have Luis in desktop support. Melody honors Luis for always being calm, kind, and helpful. She appreciates how Luis is willing to help no matter how busy he is and is thankful for him coming through when her desktop scanner gives her problems!
Luis enjoys the opportunity to connect with and assist people across all agencies. One highlight of his time with DoIT is supporting an end user at the Governor’s Mansion, which also gave him the chance to meet others.
When not at work, Luis loves watching horror movies, exploring new coffee shops, and playing video games.
The best meal he’s ever had was takeout pizza in Catania, Sicily, Italy. When asked the famous state question, Luis responded, “¿Porque no los dos?” But he likes Red for Enchiladas, Green for breakfast burritos, and Christmas for Tamales.

Roadrunner Award 2025
Our next exceptional employee to be recognized is Leslie Trujillo.
Elisha Wray has graciously passed along Chappi the Roadrunner, lauding Leslie as an invaluable team member. Elisha shared that Leslie has been a fantastic mentor, guiding her with grace and teaching her many things. She mentioned that Leslie is an absolute delight to work with and truly deserves to be recognized for her hard work, empathy, and the positive impact she brings to the team every day.
Leslie enjoys collaborating with others to improve processes and ensure that useful, accurate information is shared effectively within our DoIT team. When asked to describe her job to a family member in one sentence, Leslie said, “I get to work with numbers all day!”
And, when asked the famous question, Red or Green, Leslie offered a unique perspective: she prefers no chile most of the time, but when she craves it, Christmas is the perfect answer!

Roadrunner Award 2025
Anna shared her “Traveling Roadrunner Bird” award with David Dikitolia, EPMO Director. Anna says his leadership ensures the EPMO team remains committed to consistently providing proactive and responsive support to our agencies.
Dave says he enjoys working with members of EPMO in support of the agencies we serve.
In the many years he’s worked with DoIT he’s been fortunate enough to serve on several projects including the complete refit of the Simms Data Center, establishment of IT infrastructure for the NM Spaceport Authority, BTOP Public Safety Broadband Pilot Project, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, DoIT Nicus Billing System Implementation, Victim Information and Notification (VINE) and a number of other initiatives. If he had to choose one highlight, it is having the opportunity to meet and work with such a diverse, talented, dedicated group of individuals over the years. This holds true in my current position as Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office
If you catch Dave outside the office, you’ll likely see him mountain biking or riding his motorcycle. The best meal he ever enjoyed was a whole fresh cold-water lobster in a shack on the coast of Maine.
And three for three Dave agrees Christmas is the right answer for the question, “red or green?”
